For 57 years horses have been my life. When I was two my dad would put me on my Shetland pony and then spend the rest of the day doing his farm chores. As long as the pony didn’t come back without me, he figured I was ok.
In 1977, I was the Wisconsin Hunter Jumper Association 2nd Year Green Working Hunter Reserve Champion. I was invited to go on tour with the Royal Lippizaner Stallions, but chose to move to California instead. I was a founding member and Head Wrangler for Inner City Slickers, teaching horsemanship and the cowboy code to inner city youth in juvenile prisons and enjoyed riding bulls on the weekends.

While training cow horses and riders at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, I was blessed to work with some of the best stunt people in Hollywood. I rode horses in films such as Hildago, Anna And The King, The Scorpion King, Pirates of The Caribbean and Purgatory.
For the past few years we have been working getting wounded warriors connected to horses. Recently I trained the horses and riders for the Sony Film “Destined To Ride,” which my wife and I also co-executive produced.
Most days I just work on roping and coaching my daughter and her high school rodeo friends.
